Handmade Leis – created by West High Band & Color Guard Families
On the Hawaiian islands, giving a lei at graduation is a long-standing tradition, a wish for good luck and to show the graduate how much they are loved and appreciated.  This custom has been adopted by many West High families.  By giving a lei to a graduate, you become a part of this festive tradition that is fun for both the giver and the recipient.
 
West High Entertainment Unit Parent Association (WHEUPA) parents and students have been making and selling handmade keepsake leis for 16 years.  All proceeds STAY with West High Band & Color Guard.  Thank you for supporting our long-running fundraiser!
 
Our $30 Beautiful keepsake sewn lei is handmade with satin ribbon, approximately 43” long before being made into a loop.  The first color listed is the primary ribbon color of the lei, and the second color listed is the inner/smaller ribbon color.  Note that the bow color may be different than shown, but it will coordinate with the ribbon color.  Please indicate in “Comments” if a specific bow color is desired, and we’ll do our best to provide it.
 
Additional color variations may be available at the Sales Table.
 
Per school policy, no leis may be worn during the Graduation ceremony.
 
West High School colors are Brown & Gold.  The graduation gown is brown.  West High Class of 2024 Class Color is RED.

Senior Parents Night on April 17 (in PAC lobby)
West Area Music Festival on May 14 (in Gym lobby)
Band Spring Concert on May 31 (in PAC lobby)
Baccalaureate on June 7 (in Gym lobby)
Graduation on June 12 (at table on Victor Street before the ceremony)

Different ribbon color combinations MAY be available for special order.  All special orders take at least 2 weeks to make, so please plan ahead. Special color combinations are $35 (sewn) and $25 (double braided.)  Do NOT place a custom order on this website until you contact Sheila at the email below, to confirm that our team can create your custom lei in the timeframe you desire.
